It will take a genocidal war to win against
terrorism. Fighting a genocidal war isn't going to be fought because we
need to be as brutal as the terrorists in order to show strength, or
our resolve, or our courage, or any of that superficial, chest-beating,
fluff crap. The terrorists will know how strong and powerful we are
when we are killing them by the bushel, utterly crushing their skulls
beneath the treads of our tanks, and taking no heed at slaughtering
them in any way possible.
Until then, we
will be fighting in a way that does not achieve ultimate victory. The
war will wage on, victory is being achieved, but only at a snails pace
and victory will not be ultimate. In its current form, the military is
being restrained from winning. The military has the will and
the means of winning the war, it's just that they aren't being allowed
to do those things by senior military and political officials who are
constraining the military because they are terrified of dragging the US
into another World War. So instead of achieving victory, the military
is to do petty things like surgical strikes, and occupy a country long
enough for its own military and law enforcement institutions to get off
the ground. Please note that this isn't a criticism of the policy to do
those things, my complaint is that these actions don't constitute
victory, but merely prolong the conflict long enough to allow variables
that would complicate things, and therefore slow everything down even
further to hinder total victory. If you want to blame, or worry, about
the creation of any quagmire, you need to blame the old generations
that are root cause behind it.
Our
military is being kept on a leash. The military is being micromanaged
by the Pentagon in order to restrict the military from killing too many
people at once. This is why we gave the citizens of Fallujah a week to
exit the city before we went in. If it were up to me, I would have
given the citizens a 24 hour warning, kept the troops at the perimeter
of the city, and then bombed the living hell out of it. Satellites or
observation aircraft could have helped find terrorists by the use of
infrared. Back to reality, the one week notice for Fallujah was to
eliminate both the innocents, and a majority of the terrorists,
especially their leadership (i.e. Zarkawi?), from getting killed in the
vengeance unleashed by our awesome military.
[As if I feel sympathy
for many of the civilians in Falluja anyway. They knew who the
terrorists were and, for the most part, didn’t rat them out for
whatever irrelevant reason. It's the same reason why I don't believe
the local Muslims when they give the list of talking points, such as
Muslims are against terrorism, Islam isn't a violent religion,
Islamofascists don’t represent Islam as a whole, etc. If that were
true, if they really meant what they said, then why don't these
moderate Muslims stand by that and start pointing out the radical imams
and their followers in their midst that are going to cause terrorism
and death? I don't necessarily discount what the regular Muslims are
saying, but I can’t figure out why they won't put their money where
their mouths are and starting pointing out the islamofascists in their
midst.]
The troops in Iraq
know how to achieve victory, but the price of that victory will be too
much for the media, and fellow appeasers, in terms of the amount of
destruction that would be brought upon the landscape in the military’s
campaign to victory. The media here at home would go absolutely berserk
over the decimation of our enemies because the media is mostly fixated
on the idea that any military action the US commits in its own interests is nothing more than an extension of Vietnam. The media, and most of the Democratic leadership, are all stuck in the 1960's, with a cloud of distrust of both the US government and the US
military. Dick Durbin's seditious remarks calling our military Nazi's,
et al, (and by extension, the President, as he is the
Commander-In-Chief) is merely a recent manifestation of such 60's
sentiment.
So even though the military would have utterly obliterated the current bunch of terrorists in Iraq if they were unleashed from their chains, they, along with the US,
would be ridiculed, shamed, and blamed for having to resort to such
'barbaric' tactics by the media, and other sycophants. The media would
launch a blitzkrieg against the administration and the military in an
effort to do as much damage as possible before anyone has a chance to
put on a defense. The barbarity of the military would replace any
actions done by our enemy. There would be greater disdain for the
actions of our own people than by the enemy. The barrage would be
constant, over the top, and exceptionally damaging to our country.
Actions by the US
would be seen as an equivocation to any future terrorist retaliation,
as the media emboldens the very people that we are fighting against
with a most effective weapon against us: propaganda. (I'm not really
sure how utterly crushing and killing your opponent can embolden them,
after all, who is left to embolden?) The point is that it will be America’s
fault, thus the appeasers will begin their apologetic chant by
convening in large groups to beg forgiveness and understanding for our
military’s temporary insanity. There will be calls and demands for the
creation of committees and independent counsels to investigate the
military and find those perpetrators who authorized such brutality
against our enemies. In the meantime, a long list of hand-wringers will
attempt to thwart off any bad press, or negative sensitivities felt by
other countries in an effort to get those offended to forgive our
military and administration officials for their 'insanity' and
barbarity.
As I said from the beginning,
it will take a genocidal war in order to achieve victory against
terrorists. This is a truism no matter what war you are fighting.
Victory is not achieved merely for beating your enemy, but killing them
so fiercely and total, that they are completely demoralized and
decimated. A defeated enemy can always retreat, regroup, and try to
wreak havoc on you at some later time. A demoralized and decimated
enemy has neither the will nor the means to trying any retaliation at
any time.
I don't buy into the notion
that terrorism will be with us for multiple decades to come. Those who
are seeing it this way are failing to move beyond the prism of the Cold
War and WWII. In a way, it is connected with the Sept 10th way of
thinking. These people are looking at the war on islamofascist terror as
just a continuation of the multiple inconclusive military actions that
have occurred since the end of WWII. These inconclusive military
actions begin with the Korean War and end with the Bosnian War. They
are not looking for, nor are able to see, the end game to terrorism
because they are unable to adjust to the new paradigm. The new paradigm
is that we aren't fighting a WWII, haven't for 60 years, and
won't ever again. At current time, we are fighting an organization
spread throughout the world. Now, these terrorist organizations are
certainly being supported by nation-states, but I will delve into that
later on.
In my limited way, the following is just a few things that need to be done in order to achieve ultimate victory:
1)
These terrorist groups are ultimately funded and supported by
governments. Cutting off the head of these supporting nation-states
would cut off a large amount of support in the forms of intelligence,
money, materiel, and moral support. Right now, the means by which this
step is accomplished is left up to the discretion of the military
leaders. (I would prefer country-wide carpet bombing, but that's just
me.)
Therefore, bombing, assassinating, destroying, devastating all regimes that support terrorism, or any form of islamofacism, must be done immediately.
No warning, no ultimatums, just BOOM. Warnings, ultimatums, etc. would
give these nation-states the opportunity to not only prepare for the
coming conflict, but also pass along orders to terrorist organizations
and cells they support. Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia
are the first regimes that need to go. Any future objections need to be
answered with additional assassinations, or those objectors just simply
disappear with no explanation from anyone. The ones who object are
ultimately complicit with terrorists, and are therefore a threat to the
country. Remember, we shall make no distinction between the terrorists
and those who support them. You are either with us, or against us.
Period.
There
should be secret military teams that are specifically created to carry
out assassinations, and overall destruction of terrorists and their
sympathizers.
2) All groups who advocate,
or by rhetoric, support terrorists or terrorism must have their assets
frozen, their leadership arrested, designated as "enemy combatants'',
interrogated, and held in internment limbo without the benefit of a
lawyer until the end of our war against islamofacism. Stick them in an
Alaskan Gitmo, or similar suitable location. If the support of
terrorism reaches the level of ''aid and comfort'', then these
individuals will be charged with Sedition or Treason, and treated
accordingly. Whether citizens or not, anyone found to have been
advocating for or supporting terrorists in any way, will have their
citizenship revoked by Executive Order, exported out of the country,
and permanently banned from re-entering the country. If in the case of
Sedition, citizenship will be revoked, they will retain status as enemy
combatants, and they will rot in jail for the rest of their puke-filled
lives. Treason will be met with execution or life in maximum security,
but nothing less.
3) Since we are dealing with islamic nutbars,
internment camps will have to be created to root out the crazies from
honest Muslims, since those ''honest'' Muslims won't do the honorable
thing and point out the crazies amongst them. Blame it on Stockholm
if you want to, or come up with whatever reason you want as to why they
won't turn in the wackos, they can contemplate this too, while they're
locked up in the middle of Idaho.
Those
are just three things that come to mind when I think about what needs
to be done to assist in the war against islamofacists. Call me brutal,
cruel, and over the top, but those things I prescribe above will aid in
achieving victory. The three things above are supplemental to the
genocidal war that our military would be waging against all enemies of
the US.
Don't think so? Then you belong in the group who think we are still
fighting WWII, and I will therefore dismiss. I am only interested in
achieving ultimate victory, by making the war against our enemies so
brutal, horrendous, and genocidal, that everyone will agree to never
let terrorism rear its ugly head again, unless they want the US to pull out another can of whoopass.
